Whipping up a 3 Course Italian Dinner With Chef KT
Learn to prepare a sumptuous Italian dinner
Pesto is a sauce originating in Genoa in the Liguria region of northern Italy and traditionally consists of crushed garlic, basil, and European pine nuts blended with olive oil, Parmigiano Reggiano (Parmesan cheese), and Fiore Sardo. Chef KT of the Cornerstone Cafe will be teaching participants how to make this versatile Italian sauce from scratch and how it can be used with various ingredients.
In this hands-on session, participants will be taught how to prepare a 3-course classic Italian dinner comprising of the following
Starter - French onion soup & cream of mushroom
Main - Pesto salmon with Pesto penne pasta
Dessert - Sabayon sauce with seasonal berries
Bonus - Learn how to prepare lemon beurre blanc sauce!
Chef KT has got many years of experiences in Modern American cuisines, Japanese cuisines, Chinese cuisines, South East Asian cuisines. He graduated with a degree in Culinary Science under the Le Cordon Bleu programme at the Texas Culinary Academy, USA. During his training in the USA and Hong Kong, he specialised in Japanese and French cuisine.
Chef KT currently owns and runs The Cornerstone Café and Ramen Monster. He is often featured in local newspapers and magazines and is currently a familiar voice on radio, sharing innovative recipes and his inspirations on 88.3Jia FM.
